Class Description: A great way to open and/or close an educational event! A legal and very simple Joe Liles arrangement of Holly Nears Singing From Our Hearts is taught to everyone. Focus of time slot is to remind all of us WHY we are musicians and how what we do in Sweet Adelines impacts our lives and the lives of those we touch. A real feel good class that begins and/or ends an event with emotion and sharing.

Class Title: ATTITUDES ANONYMOUS
Class Time: 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours
Target Group: General Membership
Class Description: A look at how attitudes from both the presenter and the group can affect one another in positive and not so positive ways. Class Title: DIRECTING THE PERFORMANCE INSTEAD OF THE MUSIC!
Class Time: 60 minutes or more (depends upon number of participants)
Target Group: Anyone who wishes to improve their directing techniques.
Class Description: This class is for volunteers who are interested in being observed and coached while directing class participants in song. This can also be done as one on one sessions,,,sort of as a PDI (private directing instruction) offering as well.
Judging Class Topic: Judging Categories
Class Title: SO WHAT DO THOSE JUDGES WANT, ANYWAY?
Class Time: 60-90 minutes
Target Group: Could be anything from general audience to specific music leadership. Class would be offered in whatever style would be necessary for chosen target audience.
Class Description: Understanding the basics of the judging categories and what and why accomplishment is rewarded in each category. Defining the philosophy of the judging program and the accuracy and synchronization that is deemed basic to any performance.

Target Group: Directors, Asst Directors, Section Leaders, Aspiring Directors or Section Leaders
Class Description: Full class participation…as all attendees are involved. Body English, attitudes, verbal communication techniques, etc… are addressed. This class is especially beneficial for musical leaders who would like to find a comfort zone as a musical leader…without so much focus on the arm-waving task. It CAN be done!

Singers are placed according to how they resonate, naturally; consequently, they are standing where they hear the best. Very interesting and useful for choruses of all levels! Class Title: SUPER SINGERS ARE ACHIEVABLE!
Class Time: 90 Minutes (Condensed Version) 2-1/2 Hours (w/trial scoring version)
Target Group: Music teams, directors, assistant directors, sound track/tape evaluators
Class Description: A unique evaluation program allowing for individual singer growth and pacing. 10 page handout includes all necessary scoresheets, description of scoring levels, job descriptions, etc…This program has been adopted by many top-level choruses.
Team Class Topic: Harmonious Music Team/Administrative Team Relationships
Class Title: STRIKE UP ACCORD BETWEEN LEADERSHIP GROUPS!

Target Group: Music Teams & Administrative Teams (Board or Management Team Members)
Class Description: Most effective class if representatives from both facets listed above are in attendance. Lots of class participation. Scenarios are given to volunteers from the audience who are asked to present a mock joint meeting of administrative and musical leaders. Insightful offering because we all get a chance to see ourselves in a safe environment….and, hopefully, make the necessary adjustments on our home turf.
