Sweet Adelines Quartet Name Search and Online Quartet Registration and Renewal

QUARTET NAME SEARCH To find out if a quartet name is available, please enter a name in the search string below and hit the search button. The fewer characters you enter to search, the quicker the search. Once you click on the search button, the system will find all names that match or are similar to the one you have chosen, in spelling and sound. If your search reveals there is not a similar name, we would still like you to contact Ruth Cameron at ruth@sweetadelineintl.org to confirm your name is available. Please note that Past champion quartet names are protected for various periods, depending if they placed as regional or international champions. Please Note: If the quartet name can be spelled more than one way or if the word(s) sound like another word - then the name is NOT available. For example: Just For Fun, Just Four Fun, or Just 4 Fun. When you call international headquarters to register a name, though the text search may say that the name is available, in reality, names that SOUND similar to an already registered quartet will not be approved. Please realize that quartet names change on an almost daily basis, be prepared to submit a second and third choice when registering your quartet's name. NEW QUARTET REGISTRATION You may fill out the online Quartet Registration form. For your convenience, you may download the Quartet Registration form. (Please use this form if you are renewing and cannot find your quartet invoice). You will need Acrobat Reader to see the form. If you do not have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, go to the Forms page of this Web site to download Acrobat Reader. CANCELLED QUARTETS (RENEWAL) Quartet registrations expire April 30 of each year. All registered quartets were mailed renewal notices mid-April to the quartet contact of record at international. Your quartet cannot renew online after July 31, 2010. Quartets not paying their renewal have been cancelled and cannot renew online. Quartet names for those quartets not renewing are now available to other groups. Quartet registration/renewal always begins on May 1, and the registration fee is $80.00 through January 15, 2011. The fee changes on January 16 to $130.00 for newly registered quartets and late renewals (if the quartet name is still available), but cancelled quartets still cannot renew online through March 31, 2011. If you are registering a new quartet in March, it will expire on April 30, 2011, and your quartet will be due for payment again on May 1, 2011.
